Talkin' Cowboys: Giant Matchup

Talkin' Cowboys: Giant Matchup I'm a Freshman sports-writer/reporter for Birdville High School (Birdville Hawks, BISD). --- This is MY OWN PERSONAL sports-blog, and it MAY NOT BE copied in any shape, way, or form at all what so ever.

---

NEW YORK: It comes down to this, the Dallas Cowboys on the road at the New York Giants for the AFC East, for the playoffs, it all comes down to one game on Sunday afternoon. --- This game, being the key to both teams's road to the playoffs. --- But only one team in the end, will come out victorious, and that's whether it ends up as a tie, because of the last-time these two teams met, the Giants won, so this game, yes, as much as the Giants need to win this game, it's in a sense, more of a must win for Dallas. --- And if the Cowboys do win this huge game, they have a shot at a rematch vs. the Lions, and you know how that game went in the regular season.

-- Tony Romo is expected to play for the Cowboys, who got his hand injured in Sunday's meaningless game vs. the Philadelphia Eagles, which Philadelphia won 20-7. --- Because of the Giants beating the Jets, the Eagles are mathematically speaking, eliminated (for good) from the post-season. --- And that's regardless of who ever wins this Sunday's game between Dallas and New York.

* If the Giants lost to the Jets in Sunday's game at the Jets, and if Philadelphia beat Dallas, than this would be Philly controlling their own destiny for one more Sunday on out.

---

* If Tony Romo doesn't for some reason end up starting in Sunay's game at the Giants, 3rd stringer QB Stephen McGee will play, due to 2nd string QB (John Kitna) being placed on the "IR".

---

* But don't expect to see McGee starting on Sunday's game for Dallas, reports are that Romo has been "good" in practice, and is "okay to start Sunday's game at the Giants" according to a source.
